Christmas 2011: a period marked by the maturity of French e-Commerce
During the busiest Christmas shopping period, the average conversion rate for e-Commerce websites in 2011 is equivalent to that of 2010.
In the context of the current economic situation, e-Commerce websites have many advantages when compared to traditional stores: they are practical, customers save time (no set shopping times, no need to move), they offer attractive prices, and simplified product comparisons on the same website or between various sites (vs. in the department of the same store or between different stores) etc. Did these different elements guarantee the success of e-Commerce during Christmas 2011?
