Data retention period
The data retention limitation promoted by the CNIL is part of the GDPR guidelines. Among other things, the text introduces the notion of the purpose of information collection and recommends that companies define a data retention period. This period must be fixed downstream of the collection and according to the objective served. Once the purpose has been achieved, these data must be archived, anonymised or deleted.
