Outbound marketing

Glossary

Outbound marketing

Outbound marketing is the opposite of inbound marketing. The objective in outbound marketing is to push an offering or an ad directly to the customer.

Outbound marketing therefore characterises most marketing actions and marketing levers, especially customer marketing that groups together consumer preferences. The goal of outbound marketing is to first “push” the customer towards the brand, and then towards established marketing offerings.

As opposed to inbound marketing, outbound marketing is closer to the notion of push marketing that pushes a product out to consumers.
